Hey ya’ll I have a 2021 Explorer XLT, stock everything, I’m at 25k miles on it and it’s almost time for new tires before winter rolls in, my main preference is the Hankook tires that it came with, but my buddies are convincing me to get some A/T tires even though I don’t drive off-road at all and for the price Venom Power Terra Hunter X/T don’t look too bad. $160 for 255/65R18. I needed opinions if someone has ran those before. How is the road noise? How severely does it affect MPG?

Those tires you will hate if you never go off road. I was never a fan of Hancock tires , I was a Michelin guy, until I bought my Explorer. I got 45,000 out of the original tires and I bought them again ( different model) because of there highway and handling manors. I got them off Amazon for $188 each for 20''.

Until today, I had never heard of these tires so I did an Internet search; venom power terra hunter x/t review - Google Search
They are a Chinese tire and the company was established in 2001.
One of the drawbacks of the tire is road noise. I run dedicated winter tires on my vehicles but that may not be necessary where you live.

time to replace tires- need suggestions

I have 40,000 miles on my 22 Explorer. The tires don't have long to go, which is disappointing since my previous Explorer ( 2014) came with Michelins, I think, and I got 70,000 out of the first set. Any suggestions?
