I posted this message on the Under Hood section, but I am reposting here since this section seems to be a better place for the discussion.
I found out about Volant Performance via a posting at www.mysporttrac.com. Do a search for new intakes and you will find a post dated 7/26/01 by Ben Jenkins. Ben markets a pretty trick intake that looks like a chrome version of the KKM TB to filter unit.
The Volant intake for the 2001 4.0L SOHC is expected in the next couple of weeks with CARB certification following shortly afterwards (the early release units will be included in the CARB cert).
The cold air intake looks pretty cool. Check it out. The problem is going to be the price. Compared to other Volant units, this one looks fairly complete and I would guess to be a $225 hit.
Thoughts?
