Volt Gauge

What is the first thing to look for? The gauge reads nothing at all. Goes from 8 to 14, but the gauge doesn't move at all. Voltage is fine at battery, and during running engine. 93 xlt v6

huh. Maybe a bad gauge or a bad wire to the gauge.

Call me stupid, but which wire goes to the gauge? I don't fell like freezing outside.

Nope, that's why I really need help. Any other places to find diagrams,etc?
