- '03 Mountaineer
Hello, noobie here, this is an awesome forum you guys got here tons of info, unfortunately I couldn't find the information I needed
I recently added a very nice 03 mountaineer to the family yay
a couple of weeks ago while trying to replace a burn out bulb in the a/c switches I found an unused harness behind one of the fake buttons, in the left side of the radio bezel, I found on ebay a bezel with the 4x4 and info center buttons.
I got it a little while ago and was hoping the info center was already in the cluster and all that was needed were the buttons (silly me), of course that wasnt the case and after a couple of ebay searches I realize there two different clusters for the mountaineer, with info center and without info center.
Does anybody know what that unused harness is doing there? where does it connect to? I connected the buttons and at they light up but they don't activate anything because the truck doesn't have the cluster with the info center. Do you guys know if getting the cluster with the info center is all that would be needed? or is there an extra module that feeds the data to the info center?
Thanks a lot in advance!
