I got some more Raamatt, so I wanted to get rid of all the spray foam in my hatch that I did earlier. I carved it out the best I could. When I got to the bottom of the hatch, the foam was soaked! I can't see it, but it feels like rust has started to form. I sand papered all the foam off, and sprayed bedliner on the inside that I could see. Hopefully that will stop the rust. Carving it out is a PITA! Just a warning to those that have done this! Spray a rust inhibitor before you spray the foam.

Interesting. Since I have done mine, when it is raining or when I wash it a more than normal amount of water dribbles out of it. Not a lot, but more than normal.

How is that raammat i have heard good things about it but has it helped pretty good on your explorer? Major

Raamatt is awesome! It sticks to anything. Once it sticks, it's stuck forever. Rick has a new product out called Raamatt 60. It's twice as thick as the original raamatt and is supposed to dampen twice as much. The original raamatt is kind of thin, but does an awesome job dampening. Give Rick an email at rick@raamaudio.com for a price. He's great to deal with.

Dynamat also works great

Where has everyone used the rammat spray? I dynamated my doors, ceiling, floors, and cargo area but I really couldnt think of a use for the spray.

raammat is a mat not a spray. you just use it like dynamat its just cheaper. major

so you noticed a difference? I got some dynamat on mine (the regular not extreme) and it didn't do anything at all. The guy at the shop told me my rattle was coming from something that was unstopable? hard to beleive its unstoppable, my systems hardly in the 130s and it rattles like a.. really loud rattling thing lol

It made a difference on mine...where is the rattle coming from? Once you find it put some dynamat onit and it'll be good to go. i also lined my doors and it made a fairly good improvement...lots better bass out of the door speakers.

heh, its coming from the.. hatch.. the whole thing lol, I can't pin point it. Its also coming from my running boards. I made a little video.. or started to to show people what rattles, but it got to be too long.. 26 megs :(

My lift gate rattles now even when the sub is not on and the window is doing it now.

hrmm, I'm thikning in all our cases it woul dbe the latch or the latch assemblies inside the tailgate, just the way its designed ya know? it kinda sucks.. but there hasta be a way to stop it
