So I haven't been here in a longggg while. Which is sort of a good thing I guess, because I mainly came here for help. Seeing as I hadn't needed any help because everything was running fine, well, you get the idea. But I'm back. I've had my rear seats out for some time now (building a sub box to go back there), and the other day I noticed I've been getting some water in the back of the truck. I decided to try to find the root of the problem, and remembered that the third brake lights have occasional issues. I sprayed mine with a hose and found that water was leaking into the cab and becoming visible on the passenger side, right by the rear window motor (actually all over the motor ). I took off the third brake light and checked for signs of a leak, but found nothing. I'm wondering if it's coming in from the rear window, but I haven't done anything to that recently...

Does anyone have any experience with this, or have a solution to this problem? It's been raining literally every day here for a few weeks, and it will be continuing to rain. I need to find a way to fix this because I don't have an indoor place to store my truck :(

If you've ruled out the third brake light, check the roof rack next. GL

So I've isolated the leak, and it's coming from the bottom of the rear sliding window. I'm not exactly sure what to do with it, I don't have to money to buy new parts from ford at this point in time, but I need a temporary solution so I don't have to cover the truck all the time.

From between the body and window?

That is correct. I looked a little closer and it seems that the gasket came loose or might have even ripped off from something. I'm currently thinking of some clear silicon caulk, because that seems like my only option.

If you have the back trim panel off go to the parts store/glass store and get a caulk tube of urethane rubber and go all the way around on the inside where the window and body meet. That worked on the leaky back glass on my uncles F150. I'd post a photo to show it but my pc took a Dump on me :-( leaving me with this iPhone to surf with.

Great to see you posting, Steve!!!
