I was flipping through a Summit Racing magazine the other day and came across a water/methanol injection kit and became intrigued. After lots of reading, turns out it's not a new concept, just new to me.

It had claimed 50-60hp gains while increasing mpg by 3-5 (these numbers are probably off due to lack of memory, but you get the point).

My question is will this work on a stock 4.0 sohc engine or is it only typically used for blown and/or turbo-ed motors?

Has anyone done this to a stock motor? And if so, what kind of results good or bad?

I'd like more information on this about our applications stock or not also. I've read/been told by James [SCT Tuner] A wideband is a must, and of course new tuning to go with the bigger range of timing.

Yea, I figured a tune just like most mods would be a must.

What do you mean when you say "wideban is a must"?

Wide band o2 sensor, I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure it allows for more adjustment when using anything that could require a timing change [could also have to do with the computer maintaining the A/F ratio when it's needed.. Like with any application with forced induction, or using anything else like this, or nitrous. But like I said, I'm no expert so a little research will be needed.
