WE NEED 75 95+ OWNERS WHO ARE SERIOUS ABOUT WANTING A FRONT LOCKER!

what kind of time frame do you realisticly see this possibly happening? if its in like 4 months, i'm in. if sooner, i can't.
yall think it would help me more to put a locker up front (assuming we can get it) than in the rear and keep the LS back there? i am assuming a price tag of aroun $650 for this puppy?
if i don't have to pay anything for a little while (at least 4 months) then COUNT ME IN!

You all are talking about using 4-low. How would this work on an AWD model? Would it be just like 4-hi?

jasonb,

If you look at how many people are signed up and how long it has taken for them to sign up, I would say you are safe with four months. IMHO

It wouldn't be like having the transfer case locked in 4wd. Only a 4wd transfer case can help you there.

It would help you have more traction though. If you had one front and rear, it would make all 4 wheels spin. Unlike it is now where if you lift one wheel front and rear, the other two making traction do not spin.

All in all, regardless if you have 4wd or AWD, lockers will give you more traction.

char.. yeah i just thought about that after i posted... i agree.. i think i'll more than 4 mos!

COUNT ME IN!!!!

Just wanted to bring this back up to the top. In fact I think I'll stick it.

What if someone were to email a bunch of different 4 wheel drive accessories distributors around the country asking them to purchase one? If we could explain what we are trying to do and how anyone looking for a front locker for a '95+ Explorer or '98+ Ranger would have to buy that one, maybe a few places would order one or two to keep in stock. Maybe?

Anyone want to give it a shot? I don't have the amount of spare time needed to take it on myself.

Hrmmm all ideas are welcome. how about Randys Ring and Pinion and 4wheel parts TN?

Yes

It would be nice!

well there are a few problems with the Detroit EZ locker especally with the newer IRS Explorers, since we have auto locking hubs, we need a locker that can be disabled, and 2nd unless this has been redesigned it dosn't fit into the IRS on a Explorer...

What's going on with the Front ARB locker?? Is it dead in the water??
