I've had this happen more than a couple times:
I use my key fob to dis-arm my alarm; the doors unlock, the dome lights come on, but the alarm doesn't chirp. If I open a door or continue hitting the unlock on the key fob, the movement causes the alarm to go off and will not stop with the fob or keypad for at least 30 seconds.

I've read in another post that the stock alarm doesn't chirp, it only honks the horn (which mine does after a double *lock* on the fob). But this seems all integrated together with stock....Does this definitely mean it is aftermarket?

Any ideas?

My stock alarm does horn; no chirps from anything. Need to look for strange "aftermarket" wiring.

I'm having this same problem with my alarm as well, alarm is stock but I have an aftermarket starter and the alarm will go off if I open the door after using the key fob

I'm glad I'm not alone. So maybe the keyless entry is failing to send the correct disarm signal to the alarm?!
I have no idea where to even start to figure this out.
