I hope i put this in the right spot
I just bought a 1999 ford explorer sport, had to redo the ball joints to get it to pass inspection.
Ive never put into 4wd until tonight when going down a pretty decently muddy road.
Well i noticed that when the 4wd is engaged it makes a weird whining noise from the front end. Now I've driven 4wds before like my brothers jeep and my dads toyota and have never heard that sound coming from them.
I'm just worried that something might be wrong with it, it doesn't do it when its in automatic selection of the 4wd dial.
