Weird Sound coming from under

Hi guys im new here. Have a little question for you explorer specialist. My newly buy 02 eadie bauer make a weird sound when im on idle and moving slowly it look like a exhaust heat shield hitting a pipe( toong toong) but it also look like a rubbing bearing,very hard to explain. Ive read on other site that when the spring in the torque converter break,a weird sound come from under.The transmission and the truck run realy great, where should i look to solve my problem...btw sorry for my english im from quebec

It's very hard to give you anything to look for. Check the exhaust pipe for a loose heat shield on one end. also check the trans heat shield on passenger side may be to close to the exhaust pipe. Converter or muffler may be loose inside.

ive fond a manifold heat shield that dosent hold anymore ,removed it,the sound is a little bit quieter but still there...if some spring broke in my torque converter does the tranny will go right?
