Hello there!
I've come to the forums again, baffled with this weird thumping noise. Lately when driving, when i apply the brakes i hear this "thump...thump" noise. its hard to explain, but depending on how hard i press the pedal, the faster these thumps sound...like "thump thump" or "thump....thump" if i slowly press the pedal. At first i thought it might be related to the braking system, but i have managed to isolate it for a few seconds, and can make the sound come up while stationary, not moving at all that is, and wobbling the steering wheel a little bit while braking.
Every part on the front drive train has been changed but hub and cv axles, so not sure if these could be the culprit. It does leave me baffled, because the sound is not heard when turning, but when going straight. there is no clac clac clac associated with the Joint, nor growling sound associated with the hubs....so not sure what it could be.
