Well...finally blown the sub

Hey guys. I've blown my sub...once again. I remember someone here said there are 6.5" subs available but I forgot who. I want to get a 6.5" replacement and keep it under $100. Any ideas??

the only thing that comes to miund is the bazooka tube...but they suck big time

Yep, I have the Ford/JBL 6.5" sub. I don't wanna spend too much money on a new sub and I don't want to have a box that takes up a third of my cargo area since I have to haul a bunch of stuff back to my dorm. I don't like the Bazooka tube much.

Curtis, I'm in Clemmons right now. I'll be going back to State next sunday (Jan 6th) since school starts on the 7th.

Have you given any thought about the MTX custon enclosure with a 10" subwoofer and 100 w amp/

I will be installing mine sometime this week.

I went this rout because it takes up no space ( like your factory one does ).

Al, I've given a lot of thoughts about getting MTX sub but I don't have the money for it ($400+!!) since I'm one of those poor college students and my dad doesn't want me to spend that much money on just an amp/sub.

Curtis, I'll check it out after school started. What's the name of the place?

Isn't there a website that sells these subs??

you could pick up a 6.5" JL Audio subwoofer or a Kicker for well under $100.

Just FYI the MTX is sweeeeeeeeeeeet get a 200Wrms amp (with lowpass filter) and it's awesome. Hey find someone who's a member of United Consumers Club (UCC) and have them order the MTX box, it's literally like 1/2 price.

www.carstereomall.com has the 6.5 Kicker sub. I looked everywhere for a JL 6W0 but I can't seem to find one

Thanks!! That's what I've been looking for. I bookmarked the page a few minutes ago. Seems like I won't have to get it for a long time though because my dad fixed it...again. Seems like the contacts on the sub were bad so my dad cut the contact end of the wire, which were connected to the actual woofer and soldered it and voila. Sub working again. I'm happy I don't have to spend money on this because I'm still trying to save up for an MTX sub.
