Well its making some highpitch whine comeing from under the hood, its not the tranny or diffs, cause it makes it in nuteral or in park. I dont know what it is..how can I tell, it started after a little trip through some high water..but it didnt come over the hood or anything..

Sounds like the IAC valve.

Do a quick search on this to compare symtoms.

This was just previously discused along with MAF topics.

Cheers!

If its a high humming sound...its the IAC. Two screws and 50 bucks...5 minute job.

its not really a humming sound, its more like s bearing going bad sound, but I cant tell where its coming from?

and another thing is I have a 5.0 not a 4.0..

the more I hear it the more it sounds like a super charger....its so annoying, it would be cool if it was a charger, and not a bad bearing or something else..

My belt tensioner pully sounded like that before it fell off. I would check that first. Basically what you need to do is take the belt off and spin it. It should spin freely without any noise.

ive found that you can use a screw driver as a stethoscope ( i butchered that poor word) to find the noise. put the screw driver on whatever you think might be making the noise, and then put the other end near your ear. it will allow you to tell whats makin the noise. it could be anything, alternator, ac compressor clutch, tensioner, anything. good luck man.
