thanks guys

yeah sounds like a good bonus...get some nice lights to go with it is my vote

For those with the '99+ bumpers, how does this bar mount? Is it frame or bumper mounted? I've got my 2" BL in and I'm not sure if I wanna take a stick welder to my Manik brushguard or not so I'm looking for other options to mount my lights

I think the safari bar is like 140 from summit racing. its not that expensive. and i also know that EE has it

I just installed a Safari Bar and some PIAA 520s (fog) from http://www.accessconnect.com/index.htm. Now it seems as though a need better light just in normal driving mode. Therefore, I was wondering if any of you Safari bar owners have mounted lights to the top of the bar (where there is not any mounting holes)? If so, how did you do (drill a hole, special bracket, or other)? Also, FISH MAN, I noticed you had some lights hiding in your grill. What are they? How'd you mount them?

You may want to rethink installing more lights. Virginia is kind of funny about auxillary lights. I almost got into an argument with the inspector the first time I got my Explorer inspected with the fogs installed, even though they were installed correctly. I now put the covers on them when I go into inspection. If you install another set on your truck, either the fogs or the new set would have to be covered at all times while driving on road.

I drove around with my Pro Comps and my KC's mounted to my brushguard and never got hassled. I also have uncovered back up lights mounted on the roof rack. But when I get it inspected, i'll probably pull the rear lights off and cover the front ones. The VA states you can have 1 pair of aux lights (in addition to OEM equipment). So yeah, I guess I'm illegal. But I don't fire either pair up in city traffic ~ i really think its just about being smart with em and not attracting a whole lot of attention by having them one when they don't need to be.

Hey, the lights in my grill are just some pilots or something similar from auto zone. they are actually just screwed to the plastic piece that is in there on the bottom behind the grill

Anyone ever use/seen the Westin Safari Bar with four four lights (like 520s)? Maybe a custom bracket on the existing mounting holes, or drilling a couple of holes into the top horizontal bar.

here is my safari bar with 3 hella 500's on it

Nathan, They look awesome. Is that the Westin bar? Did you modify your bar? How did you mount your lights to the bar? I assume you have all three controlled by a single switch and a single relay, correct?
