My carpet and insulation in the cargo area is getting wet after a good rain (I'm in Seattle!) Where are the obvious spots to start looking for the leak? I've done some searches here, but haven't found the answer yet. The headliner is dry, and I don't have a sunroof. Do the cargo area side windows often leak? How can I check the rear door area gaskets for leaks? Thanks.

Serarch for my posts on my leak. Yeah the side windows have a soft rubber seal you need to replace. You have to take out the window. It's not hard, just takes a few hours.
Mines been fine for a while now.

I had a side window leak a while back. Pulling back the interior trim and gently tightening the nuts that hold the glass in took care of it.

That may. Helped mine but still had to replace the seal casue it still seaped after hard/extended rain.

I have also found that the roof rack can also leak, the rail screws somehow become loose and allow water to leak in. It will hit the top of the headliner and pour off onto which ever side is leaning down more. Thing is, it will pour out right over the cargo window, making it look like a leaking seal. The fix, take each screw out and put a dab of silicone gasket seal, high temp stuff, tighten each one reasonably. Also, check around the plastic slide strips between the rails, they are riveted down and will dry up and break around the rivets. I just gave em a shot of silicone at the base of the exposed rivet. No more leaks!

Thanks for the welcome and the tips. I'll pull the the trim and start looking around for leaks. Hopefully tightening the screws holding in the glass will cure it.

check your right rear wheel well that can get a rust hole and water shots up into the back mine rusted there somehow

If it is the rear windows, there is an easy fix. Use a black silicone calking. Place masking tape on the body and on the top of the glass molding. Now you can run a very thin bead of calking into the joint of the body and the glass trim piece, remove the tape, and let it dry. Done
