Well, After I sorted out the headrest screen install, I decided to get round to sorting out the leak and changing the rear door...
With some much appreciated help from Howard, We've established that the leak is coming from the pipes that go through the bulkhead into the trough at the bottom of the windscreen, So I'll attempt to rectify that next weekend.
It turned out that the thermostat had gone which had split the aforementioned pipe. I changed the stat and by-passed the pipes going to the heater matrix, whilst doing this I managed to knock off the plug going to the coil pack... after refitting everything I tried to start the explorer but it obviously wouldn't start...
I called out the RAC and they sent a very nice chap who diagnosed that I'd stupidly knocked the plug off, anyway, he tried to fit it back on, but it still wouldn't start... on closer inspection the pin for the power to the coil was bent over on itself, so we had to bend it very delicately back in place..
He got the explorer running again and went on his merry way...
Then the fun started...
Me and a friend decided at 1am that it would be a great idea to tackle swapping the rear door for the newer one that was sitting in my garage... this was decided without the aid of alcohol or mind altering drugs of any kind...
However, I still can't get it to line up properly and as a result I've managed to bend all the top of it... grrrr....
Anyway, if anyone can help me to line it up please do.. I'm getting really fed up and don't really wanna have to pay a bodyshop to do it...
