no offence taken, yes if you can afford to spend over a grand on a toy more power to you, i have had my pyle monitor for almost 3 years and a friend whom spent 1600.00 for his kenwood dvd player (no amp, no speakers) has had his repaired twice, mine is going strong, maybe i was lucky or really is a matter of knowing what you want and how to care for it, i was going to purchase another unit for my new acquisition but why fix what is'nt broke and has'nt given me any problems? as i am partial to well known brands and if you are into the name brand hipe i do recomend them, there are options and i did great with mine, i actually replaced my alpine dvd player with a car pc which does everything!! the only mistake i did was to purchase audiobahn 6 x 8 speakers as they bottom out easy even with the crossover, but the amp is AWSOME! i am running a PYLE motorized monitor 260.00 (w/TV and i do use it everyday) a car pc w a 140 gig HD 380.00 with a dvd rom on the dash, internet, navigation, and then some... 6 x 8 pioneer speakers 55.00 w a 12 inch sub 65.00 and a AUDIOBAHN amp and EQ 195.00, it is admired by everyone whom see it and hear it! and i did it all for under a grand. i laughed all the way to the port as my girl and i went to a nice week long cruise to Mexico with the cash i had left over!! and it is still working great! BTW.. i work an hour away from home (one way) so my system does take a beating!! with this i am not advicing anyone what to buy, it is a personal choice and all up to your pocket. it was a choice for me as i usually replace my system every 2 to 3 years, but what ever you decide to do... have fun doing it!
