What could I do...

...to personalize my X? I would like it to be something rather cheap. Maybe around $250. How much does a billet grill cost 'cause I would like to have that done. My mother won't let me buy a grille guard so I want to do something to make it not so stock.

clear corner lights and a billit grile will run you about $200 and then you put on an exhuast tip for $50

For $100, I'll "take care" of your mother... For another $150, me and Slick Joe will "convince" the shop that sells the brush guard to let us have it for free...

In all honesty, how about painting your grille to match the body color, like on newer XLTs with the Sport Group package... Paint shouldn't be too much, and it'd look great.

Get some personalized stickers made, maybe a type R badge...I guarantee not many explorer's will have that

I like the idea of the billet. I think that's a good way to make it stand out without too much money...

My thoughts exactly. She doesn't see the point in putting money into a vehicle. Two of my friends have really nice cars that they have modded out. I'm not trying to match up to what they've done but just something tomake it look different. One of my friends has a 2000 VW Passat GLX that he's bought stuff for. He's put at least $3000 into his car. My other friend has a '96 Nissan Maxima that he's put about $2000 or more into his car. I don't know maybe its another one of those things that she will say, "Once your 18 I don't care what you do." Maybe I'll have to wait until next summer to do the grille but I think I will definately have it done.
