hey guys what do you think of this wheel im considering? price is good. I normally wouldn;t go machined aluminuim but with my white/grey truck I don;t think black would look good and I don;t really want chrome as all my accesorys are brushed aluminuim. really wanting a more negative offset backspacing is 4.5 on an 8 inch rim. I'm thinking these will stick out 1.5????? am i right.

i think it would go good with your color truck, i dont go with chrome or aluminum either, if you painted your molding/flares black, maybe black rims could go good???
any pics of the truck or your accessaries?

only older, the trim is painted but its painted a gun metalish grey.

roof racks back on it now but i stripped it and did a light polish.

On an 8" rim, 4" backspace = 0 offset. So 4.5" backspace = 1/2" offset, which is 13P offset (stock is 35P). I think. If that's right, then these will stick out around 1" further than stock, which should see them sit flush with the edge of the guard.

whats the offset of the stock rims anyway?

Those look really sharp!

i actually ment backspacing instead of offset... sorry guys.

I think the backspace is 4.5"; easy enough to measure, just measure the distance from the hub mounting face to the inner edge of the rim on your spare.

if thats true these rims are out, would only put my tires out .5 I want quite abit wider then that. like 1.5 or 2. I thought of measuring the spare ill check it out.

According to this chart

If the offset on a 16 X 7 is +44 that makes the backspacing 5.75??

Correct me if im wrong. I might be reading this wrong.

I said 4.5", I meant 5.5", but according to my calculations, A 16x7 Rim with a 44P offset should have a backspace of 5.25"

I'm not so sure about it either. But backspace is the distance from the back of the rim to the mounting face (hub). Offset is the distance from the rim centreline to the hub mounting face. So the way I work it is for an 8" rim with an offset of 0, the backspace is 4".

Those are cool.
What brand/type are they?

They'd probably look sick in black!

here dude -

not nearly my best work, but I thought I would contribute...
