Honestly, I looked at the picture quickly and didnt even notice you had ms-painted the rear pillars, I was trying to immagine the front pillars painted white.

I say it looks good, so go for it! maybe sand down and paint your mirrors while your at it.

If you like it, I reckon go for it. It is almost a factory look the way you've shopped that pic.

I might be and probably will be the only person that thinks this but I think it will almost look like there is truck bed cap on if you paint the pillar to match your X.

Looks good! Gives it your own touch.

I like the idea....it looks good. I painted my rear pillars as well as the spots between the front and rear doors. To me iit just gives it that finishd look that Ford forgot lol.

Just make sure you prep the pillar really well first, and it should look great.

My opinion: I don't like it. I like the D pillar painted balck and if mine ever faded I would go back to black. I would either get them painted or but new ones.

Repainting them is is good idea. Painting them the same color as your Ex would be a nice touch. I recommend using Krylon Fusion, as it it designed for plastic. I did my rear pillars and they came out great. Click here for the write-up.

nice lookin eddie u got there

Thanks for all your guys' comments and opinions! its going to be too cold this week unfortunatly, but once its the right temp, i'll get to painting!

Should look pretty sweet!

I think they look much better black and that painting them white makes the Explorer look more like a minivan or something.

minivan, maybe... I envisioned a tahoe at first sight:
