OK got my truck idling good again, now to figure out my electrical gremlins

in my 93 X only the right side speakers work inside (and I cant figure out why everything is hooked up correctly, amp bypassed and all), and also when I first got it the HVAC fan would only work on full blast, and now it doesnt at all.

I did notice this peice of wire that connects to the positive terminal on my battery is extremely corroded. What does this give power to? and what would the exact name of it be so I can replace it?

Thanks!

Lots of problems. A open wire like that is like you didn't just play with fire you soaked the matches in gasoline kind of thing. But something under your hood could catch on fire if you leave this like that. Just think of how hot the motor gets when it turns itself, it can easily spark and accessory to just catch on fire while your driving. Not pretty.
