Bought a set that had ID piston too big. It measured 1 1/2 in id, and my oem is like 3/4 in. If too big, the inner pad of rear brakes won't snap into piston. I'm looking at powerstop S4754, but no info on the piston size. 2002 limited

Advanced auto parts lists the size on their product description and prices range $23-56 bucks. One posted is for my vehicle.

They even have loaded ones. Not sure if this steers you in right direction or not.

This is what I have,

RAYBESTOS Element3 FRC11268N Rear Left Brake Caliper ($47.99 +ship)
RAYBESTOS Element3 FRC11267N Rear Right Brake Caliper ($47.99 +ship)

Caliper Piston Diameter (MM) = 47.900 (outer diameter). The Raybestos website may have more complete dimensions.

These are new parts, not re-manufactured. I have some hesitation about re-manufactured brake parts for a 20 year old truck as the parts that were refurbished may also be quite old. It's $15-$20 more per side for new calipers but at $50 each, it's still not too bad to get new parts.

I have used these brake pads,

RAYBESTOS EHT881H Element3 Hybrid Technology Rear Brake Pads ($27.99 +ship)
POWER STOP Z23881 Z23 Evolution Sport Carbon Fiber-Ceramic Rear Brake Pads ($40.89 +ship)

if you wanted semi-metallic for better stopping, but shorter pad life,

BENDIX MKD881FM Fleet Metlok Semi-Metallic Rear Brake Pads ($16.73 + ship)
WAGNER SX881 SevereDuty Semi-Metallic Rear Brake Pads ($25.79 + ship)
RAYBESTOS SP881PSH Specialty Police Metallic Rear Brake Pads ($39.99 +ship)

Good brake pads are not expensive, so if you are not sure about the fit, you may want to order a new set if you are going to get new calipers. I always change out the the banjo bolt when I change the calipers.

I believe that the parts listed above are the correct parts for your truck, but don't just believe me, or anyone else. Confirm the fit yourself before ordering. I am sure that you can research the part numbers listed above and find them at different sellers as well.

I bought this one for my 2004 4.6 EX.

Duralast Brake Caliper C657

Exactly like the oem. I bought it at Autozone and price was not bad.

I bought powerstop from Amazon. Great fit as a set I returned from rock auto had large ID at piston and inner pads wouldn't snap in.
