What is a good price to pay?

Is $7000 a good price for a 2002 ST 4x4 with 62K miles?

That's not a bad number, that's the low-mid range for the 2002 4-door Ex, as well, but the ST always seems to be a little lighter on number than the 4-door...

The miles though- that's great- could be a good find!

I would say that was a very good price. However, Caveat emptor... I'd have a trusted mechanic look it over first. Best to ya happy!

That would be a good deal around here, the ST seem to go for quite a bit more than regular Explorer's here.

Weird huh? Up here the ST is cheaper, down there the 4 door is cheaper. Must be more ST's up here or something, I do see a lot of them.

I'm located in Indiana. I do know the 4 wheel drive won't engage but after looking through multiple treads it sounds like the module issue the ST's are known for. Should be an easy enough fix....knock on wood.
I believe I will follow through will buying it.

I would certainly not spend 7k on a vehicle where the 4wd was known to not work. That's not a steal of a price, and would make sure that was fixed before considering it.
