Do I want one?
I would reccomend against it for you. They make for some great launches but do stress everything in the drivetrain QUITE a bit. It is best left to more purpose built race vehicles.
I do, however, disagree with the comment Dan made about Explorers being too heavy of a vehicle to use a transbrake on. While they aren't featherweights at all, I still have seen more than a few race vehicles, weighing in at what an Explorer with minor weight reduction would weigh, launching off transbrakes and having their tranny's last for more then just one season as long as the fluid was being cooled sufficiently and the rest of the drivetrain was built to take it.
