I'm still debating putting NOS on my 95 X sport. Its got 130k miles right now, so it is high mighlage, but it runs great right now. I have a couple of questions..i've been looking on ebay and they are selling kits that say they have everything i'd need for like $500. i thought i remembered Alec saying he had spent over $1k to put his kit on. Can someone shine some light on this subject? thanks!

I also have a remote bottle opener, which cost about $250 more. What do you need?:

A bottle
All lines, fittings
nozzles and jets
solenoids
switches and wires, and activation mechanism
a gauge on the bottle
blowoff hose(s) and fittings

I think that's about it. That's the minimum, you'll have to open the bottle by hand whenever you want to use it and manually purge the lines.

Thanks for replying alec, since we have the same engine its good to talk to you about this stuff. Can u check out this kit on ebay and then tell me if i need anything other than what is on that site? Also how much is it for installation usually? Let me know thanks! Also what kinda kit are you running on your X?

That's exactly the kit I'm running. All you need besides the kit are fittings and a hose for running the blowoff tube; also a bottle gauge. For the blowoff, the best thing to do is get the kit then take the bottle to a speed shop so you can get the correct fittings, etc. I also added a manual switch through the TPS activation and a remote opener. I also had custom brackets made.

So how much is it for all the stuff u listed besides the kit i showed u? And also how much for installation?

gauge $30, blowoff hose and fittings $20-30, Radioshack stuff variable, brackets $100, installation ??? probably way more expensive than you want to pay. do it yourself in about 4-5 hours if you take your time.

brackets...

Not everyone has to have cool brackets like you... hehe... Slick, you will do just fine with what comes with the kit. All the other goodies are nice but get the kit, install it and go from there. Between Alex and I, we can answer most of your questions about installation and problems that we ran into, whether where to run the blowoff tube or which wire to use on the TPS. Also, mounting options are totally up to the person installing it. I liked the horizontal mounting but it does take up a little more space. Hope it helps. Here's the juicebox as my girlfriend calls it:

So you guys do think it is possible to install myself? I'd also want that remote bottle opener thing, so that'll be another like $200, so between everything i'd need i'm looking at approx $700 or so right?

Just wondering, i dont know **** about fast cars, dont you have to weld the block and stuff?

weld the block? no....... all you do is tap the air intake before the TB to insert the nozzle. Just make sure you dont get greedy and go with too big of a shot.

I would think one only would weld a block if it was cracked.....even then...
