What is the best lift for a 2x4?

KBB always is too high. Mine said it's worth 2500k fair , 3000k good. But I bought mine for 800 at a dealer. After all the things I fixed I know it's only worth about 12 or 1,300.

Why not buy an entire 4x4 explorer that's got a blown engine or transmission? You can get em for next to nothing and just take the 4x4 parts off it. That 4x4 is crucial when offroading. W/o it , when you get just slightly stuck , that's it , your stuck.

I found one with a blown tranny in a pick a part today. The guy wanted 600. Wonder if cash would get him down to 300? It needs rims and tires, but what is nice about it is that it already has a SOA with coilovers and a LS 3.73.

I bet I could pull the parts, but the transfer case is electrical and the hubs auto. I should have asked what it would cost to pull the front end.

Yea 600 is too much. Tell him for that you could get a working one. The same day I got mine I test drove one that somebody only wanted 600 for.
