What is the difference between part number SW5928 and SW5919?

Cruise control switches. there is a big difference in price. But they look the same. Just have not seen the 5928s wire connection point to verify its the same as a 5919.

anyone? The 5928 works on almost every application that I was told was a perfect match to my 97 Explorer. I was told "THIS SHOULD FIT 1995-2003 RANGERS AND 1995-2001 EXPLORERS". Since its a electrical part the Parts Store will not take it back once I order it. I have tried all local pick a parts and no luck finding a used one.

They are the same switch, just the interior light in them is different.. One blue the other green..

Blue LED's are always more expensive

Not LED so dont know how that effects the cost. The blue or green is just a cover over a clear blub.

Matter of opinion anyone? I have a 1997 Mounty and the color has always looked between blue/green to me. Are the 97's SW5919 blue and the 98's SW5928 Green? Anyone know just how far off these two colors are? I'm with others in saving $30.00 if they're not too far off. From what I'm reading above, the switches are interchangable with the exception of color.

Yes as I said one is blue and other is green... its just a cover.

1997 was evidently a cross over year for interior lighting colors. Many have reported having green interior lights in their 97s'. But generally 95-97 should be blue, and the 98-01's are green.

The green light must have been made of some precious stone. Perhaps emerald.

My 98's are all green. Had to replace the bulb in the headlight selector. Green cover but I tore it getting the old bulb out. Now it just glows white but not really noticeable.
