I own a 2006 4.6L Eddie Bauer and a few months ago my car was throwing a lean code I think it was p0171. I never was able to diagnose it and then I had problems where I had to replace my radiator so I never got to pin point why the p0171 code was being set.. I’ve heard that the g/s for the MAF sensor should run in accordance with how many cylinders the motor is. My I’ve tool lists mine at 4-5 at idle but if what I heard is true doesn’t that mean it’s not reading accurately? I’ve cleaned it with the MAF sensor cleaner twice to no avail, I’m just trying to get a second opinion if I should buy a new one since my gas mileage is not near where it should be and power isn’t there as usual either. My long term fuel trim on bank 1 is way out of its range also it reads 0 to -95 the whole time whether af idle or driving but my short teens reads anywhere from 7–15. If anybody could help me maybe narrow down my options it’d be much appreciated cause this car is all I have to get back up on my feet again.
