What other vehicles parts are interchangeable with my 2000 Explorer XLS?

I am considering buying a parts/car cause my 2000 Explorer XLS is in need of several repairs, and it seems it may be cheaper than buying the parts.

I was told just for inspection I need upper and lower ball joints, wheel bearings,and some exhaust work.

Any insight would be much appriciated.

The 2000 is Gen II which is 95-2001. For the parts that you listed (ball joints, exhaust, bearings) you would be better off putting in new ones. Check rockauto.com for prices.
