On the NOPI website they have Bilstien, KYB, and Tokico shocks for a pretty good price. I am not ever going to lift this car and want a good solid but not rough ride on the highway.

Which do you suggest or should I just go back to the local parts store and get some Monroe or Gabriel?

I have the Monroe Reflexes...they are a little pricey and not at all worth it.

I just got Gabriels installed over the weekend. All four shocks installed for $80. My opinion so far is that there much better than stock.

Really? I've got them too, and have been nothing but completely satisfied. I even went through the troube to take them off my old Explorer when I traded it in so I could put them on my current one. :)

I blew threw some Gabriel's in 18 months and swore never to buy again. I put some Bilstein's on a few months ago and am VERY HAPPY. If you are on rough city roads its a little firm but on the highway they are unmatched.

I had Gabriel's on my previous '92 and I changed them every 8 months. The rough dirt roads I live on didn't help though. I thought they were all right for the price. 20 bucks a shock, cant' beat that. I usually stick to this.......you get what you pay for most of the time.

I got the Edlebrock IAS about 3yrs ago I like 'em haven't heard to many bad comments about 'em. John V form EE also includes these in his Xpec package. He seems to have few good words about these as well.

I like my $35 Monroe Reflex's. Feel no different than the $75 Edelbrock IAS shocks I took off.

There are several people on this board that swear the IAS was no better than the shocks they had on before. I have not heard the same of Bilstein except those that didn't like the firmer ride.

Rancho

I just installed Rancho RSX's in the rear today and tomorrow on the front. It's hard to tell right now but I think I'll likem!

On my 99 EX 2wd I had pro comp es3000, They are nice shock, for everyday use. They are about $35 dollars a shock. I had them installed for $10 per shock. I think the pro comp makes a good shock and the right price.
