So I helped a friend tear down a skate ramp today, and ended up with two 16'X2"X1/8" tubing. Give me some idea what to do with this stuff. I'm thinking bumpers, but was looking more toward angled flat style (i.e. road armor). Or maybe some sliders. Anyway give me some ideas, as well as what this is actually thick enough for.

I dont think the tubing spec is thick enough for rock sliders. Bumper seems like the best idea - although as you said, you wanted one out of plates. There seems to be a lot of cage-building projects on the forum so thats another route :D

If it were me I would build another 1/2 pipe.

I'm thinking I might do a rear bumper, but put some 1/8" sheet in between it. Like a double tube bumper with the middle platted closed. Just gotta figure out how I want to do the tire carrier with it, and how to keep my hitch.

That's awesome! That's what I'll do then except I'll wrap then ends to match the body, so it'll meet those rear silver things. I think I'll skip the "speed" holes too LOL. What do you guys use for the swing away tire carrier pivot and clip?

ROFL I just realized that that's photo shopped.

i have a rockerstomper.com spindle which is prefab just like the link above but like 35$ cheaper.
