I used Grade 8 on mine. They have lasted the last few years I have had them on. I have even gone through a few drop brackets. I used 1/2 bolts also Big suckers but they get the job done!
skyjacker sends 1/2" bolts by 1 1/2" long I think. I know they are 1/2" in diameter though. You will have to drill out your holes a little. They are either grade 8 or 10. Either will work. Can get em at an automotive store, or hardware store.
