what size stock alternator do i have? 99 xlt

hi i have a 1999 explorer xlt sohc i searched everywhere but i cant find out if i have a 95A or 130A alt. doesn anyone know or tell me where to look on the thing, because the manual doesnt say.

Can you find a part number, is it a Motorcraft? I went to motorcraft.com and pulled up a list of alternators for a '99. From there you can determine the amps. I believe only Limited editions had the higher output alts, but that may be true only for older models.

That would be sohc or ohv.

then on another piece of it it says 605B9 (its upside down so hard to read)

Doesn't look like Motorcraft. Their numbers start with GL, such as GL-423, GL-607, GLV-8423RM. This may help in identifying the model, found on another forum:

The 95 is standard, V8 Explorers come with the 130 standard. Some
other Explorers that are fully loaded say like the "Limited" might
have the 130. The 130 has 2 fusible links in the output circuit
because of the higher rating.

One easy way to tell is to look for 1 or 2 heavy gray wires that
connect to the bottom stud of the starter relay on the inside left
inner fender area near the power distribution box and ABS pump. The
starter is kind of round shaped. If you have 1 heavy gray wire
connected to the bottom stud you have the 95A if you have 2 heavy gray
wires you have the 130A.

I thought the SOHC's came with 130amp only?
