what the heck, the oil plug

I,ve always done tune ups on my cars since i was 16, and never stripped a oil plug nut before, after removing the broken spark plug end from the head now this, I always shyed away from Ford before, please guys tell me it gets better and all the stories you hear are false, I really want to get this truck on the road and run it threw BLUE MOUNTAIN before the winter,lol. 93 ex 4x4 xlt, what else could I look forward to.

It's a good idea to use anti seize on the new plug threads.

the problem here is I just bought it, a couple months ago and from what I see tune ups was not his priority, don't get wrong the truck runs good but when bolts and plugs are not taken care of, than when you need them to work they don,t. and this I learned with a 81 mustang, i always swiped a little grease on everything around that I was working on at the time, and I will be using anti seize, thanks

I would take it to one of those lube places. I beleive they suck the oil out from the top. Not sure , maybe call and ask. The rumors are true, it is not going to get any better. fords keep running, they just seem to always be breaking. All cars are a pain, if they are not taken care of, they will cause problems.
The difference between a new car and an old car- you can fix the old car yourself. I had a dream of driving a brand new car one day, never again needing to repair anything. But the reality is new cars are junk, difficult to repair, and expensive to repair. I personally hate ford, but it is what I have been driving the past few cars and really can not complain

I would not rely on changing the oil thru the dip stick. The oil plug is easy to get to in order to either put an oversize plug in or tap it. I suspect some auto stores have a replacement plug/kit that is one size over.
