If this is going to be expense I was gonna go ahead on a engine swap what do you all think?

the auto trans fuel seems fine and its full I don't know what to do

Ocelot,
When you try to shift, does your shifter feel like it's loose? If it does, then maybe you have a linkage problem. If not, then you probably have a dead tranny. Sorry man, hate to be the barer of bad news, but it usually isn't good news when it comes to tranny's. Just had mine rebuilt not too long ago.

no its shift like it normaly does but no power from the transmission.. btw how much did it cost you

My torque converter went out. I would have cost around $650.00 just to replace the torque converter, but since I had 109K miles I opted to get the whole thing rebuilt. That cost around $1500.00.
How many miles do you have on yours?

I have about 140000 miles on my car ... and I got it around 118000 ... the people at the transmission place think its the torque converter

Torque converter huh? Hmmmm, seems like that's usually the first thing to go. I have heard from quite a few people that had tranny problems, that it was the torque converter, including myself.

Manuals

Now is your chance to put that manual into it, and I reccommend it too.

how extensive and expensive would that be ... cause I want to put a manuel transmission in it

Honestly, I am not sure. My Expo came with the manual tranny stock, and I have taken it dwon twice in the last year for clutch work (didn't know that I needed to replace the slave cylinder the first time) and it actually wasn't that hard. I suppose that you would have to take out your old tranny, buy a new manual (you could ask other guys here the best place to get one), cut a hole in the floor, buy the stick and boot, and the clutch stuff (which is actually really simple to take off and install, I replaced everything except the pedal itself and the hydraulic line) and then put it all together. You might need an Expo with a manual nearby to match it up to every now and then, or at least take a good long look (and some digital pics) of a friends manual. Hope this helps.
