Let me start by saying that I'm new to 4X4's. I like the look and feel of a lifted truck. I have read a lot of posts and find it all confusing. I want to get some lift, but I really don't go off roading. Not that I won't ever. I was considering getting a 2" body lift maybe 3". Then down the road adding a 2.5" suspension lift. I had someone looking to sell a 2.5" james duff lift for about $300.

What other things can I do other than the suspension lift. I'm an idiot so be kind.

Can I accomplish lift with coils and leafs, or I read something about spring overs I think.

Can someone walk me through the differences in lifts.

The cheapest 1.5-2" is by using the coil spacers in front and the warrior shackles in the rear. The 2.5" Duff lift is also a good choice. I'd actually do any suspension lift before a body lift. In general the short susp lifts are easier, and a suspension lift is almost always more beneficial than a body lift in terms of performance.

My opinion is to get the Duff lift or the spacer/shackle lift, then a bl if you want more.

Will the shackle lift help with some droop I've got in the driver's side rear due to compression from gas tank.

No, not really. It will raise both sides the same amount, so you'd still have more sag on the right. The way to fix that sag is by either swapping your leaves side to side and they're even out, band-aid with addaleafs, or get new springs.
