What will a rebuild kit cost me for a 4.0

I just blew my entire weekend on putting a junkyard engine in my Explorer. This 4.0 doesn’t smoke but has an upper motor piston slapping sound. So plan B. where can I find a good deal on a rebuild kit for my 1991 4.0 Explorer

Canadian Hi-Performance Discount sells a pretty complete kit for around $350 cdn. Has all gaskets and stuff, plus little things, they're based out of BC somewhere I think...
