What's causing this....

I have a 1999 Ford Explorer. The other day my oil gage hand started going crazy and the needle dropped all the way to 0. It started making a clicking noisy. What's causing this and how do I fix it. Please help.

First check your oil and make sure its at the proper level. If its at the proper level then your gauge or oil pressure sensor could be bad. It sounds like you might just be low or out of oil.

There are other possibilities as well, but we can start with the simple ones and move on from there.
