Does your CL light flash and or come on at all? Does it feel like your transmission is lagging at all? I've had the same sound for about a year before my trans just stopped going into overdrive or above say 50mph without getting on the gas, even then it would make that sound and get louder with the speed/ rpm's. It would make that same noise right after start up while driving until the trans would get to running temp and then it would do it any time I got on the gas, especially on hills (every street around here is pretty much a steep windy hill). When is the last time you have the trans filter and or fluid changed?

The check engine light does not come on, and I haven't changed the transmission fluid changed since i got it a little over a year ago. by lagging do you mean a delay between when i hit the gas, it revs up, and seems to be pulling but doesn't necessarily accelerate? That happens somewhat, but i thought thats just how it was.

There isn't any gas peddle vibration during acceleration, it does however have a nice buzz when I use the cruise control up hill. But I think I'll look into both of those, as soon as free time presents itself.

I'm talking about the delay or lag in the shifting from transmission, especially up hills or getting up to speed quickly.

Not that I can recall, but I'll give it some extra gas tomorrow and see what happens, although I haven't heard it in a few days, but then again it has been unusually warm.

Yep, mine got worse in the colder temps. Hopefully it's not that.

I had a buzz like that when I used cruise control and then I did the zip tie mod that took the slack out of the cable and that stopped.

so i gave it a little extra gas today, and it lagged a bit and then jerked up a gear, but that wasn't at higher speeds. I think it was around 20 or 30. I'm pretty sure its in o/d i believe it was at about 2500 going 70, does that sound right?

Damn, exactly what mine did before it finally took a poopie. Take it to a reputable transmission shop that you trust and have them do a diagnostic test, hopefully it's just a shift flare and you can save it before it gets too bad. I drove my truck like that for about two months back and fourth to work and it got back really quick, couldn't go above 40-45 without it screaming not stop like in the video (even with the o/d off) the o/d light would flash.

2500RPM at 70mph is normal with 4.10s and stock tires. But yes it sounds like you have a shift flare. If you're lucky its just the shift solenoid (likely the culprit) which isn't too terribly expensive to fix compared to the cost of a new trans.

When mine started getting bad it would rev really high then slam into 3rd gear from 2nd and it sounds similar to what you're experiencing just on a much worse scale. I think if you fix it soon you can avoid causing damage to the engine and other gears,

Alright, sounds like I know what I'll be doing soon. Thanks for the help
