What's That Thing Dangling From the Mirror?

I'm driving home from work this evening, I stop at a light, and I notice this thing hanging from the back of the rear view mirror. My first guess would be the navigation unit antenna but I don't have the navigation on my Ex. It has wires connected to it. Does anyone know what this thing is?
