I just did a body swap with a 1998 Eddie Bower 4.0 SOHC chassis and a XLT body on it. Im running into a few problems with the blower assembly under the hood on the pass. side. The XLTs blower assembly has a plug right under the motor. I put the Eddie engine wiring on the XLT and now the Eddie plug for the thing right under the blower motor wont plug in because its a totally different plug in. The eddie wiring has 3 small wires and 2 thicker wires. The XLT plug has 4 wires and their all the same thickness. I dont wanna use the climate control because the XLT never had it and I would have to rewire the whole inside with Eddie wiring and replace the whole dash with my Eddie dash just to get the climate control to work. I dont have that much time, so I work on it a few hours here and there. Im just trying to figure out what way I should go? And whats the best way to go? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Swap blower motor. Or probe the existing wiring harness and the motor to figure out which wires need to connect to each other in order to make the blower motor turn.

The blower motor plug plugs in fine. Its that little box thing to the right, right under the blower motors plug that has 2 small screws holding it in. the XLTs has a square plug. and the Eddie has a circle plug going into that thing... Whatever it is? Im not sure

You talking about the resistor pack?

Im not to sure what its called but on the Eddies blower AC assembly, when I take those 2 small screws out, its like a little aluminum box that looks like a small amplifier with a small circle thing in the middle. And on the XLTS assembly, its like a couple spring looking things. Im lost at this point.... I may just have to get another XLTs engine bay harness and rewire it with the XLTs harness instead of the Eddies, which i have connected now. I thought the Eddie was about the same as the XLT so used the eddies engine bay harness but when I reached time to plug in the plug below the blower motor, it wouldnt plug in because its a totally different plug

Yeah thats the motor resistor

What is that for? would the Eddie resistor work with the regular AC/ Heater knobs or would I have to have the climate control in order for the AC to work?

I had the same problem with my 90' F-150.

If you're trying to use bits and pieces of both systems, that's not going to work- the Eddie and XLT have completely different control systems due to the EATC vs. manual controls. You have to have one system or the other.

So in order to have the XLT air controls I will have to get a XLT engine bay harness and not use the Eddie engine bay harness? because besides the seats, the engine bay harness is all I changed.

Check this thread on CD- same premise, might be helpful info in there...
