What's the round thing on the roof of some mountaineers?

The other day I saw a Mountaineer with a round thing on the roof, thought it was something that guy did, yesterday I saw another one and it had the same thing, looks like those tire covers on the back of vans, what are those? just curious

Yes that's it! I looked at a bunch of pics in ebay, internet, here and couldn't find one, I don't know what it is so I couldn't find it by name.

So what is it for? spare tire?

It's for satellite TV. Some sort of antenna or dish i would guess.
