OK Im talking about this rear end link that looks like a tie rod connected with a 2 feet rod. The "tie rod" has some loose and it and it may have caused my rear wheel bearing to fail prematurely.

Now that I have replaced the rear bearing (56$ later @ rockauto) , the noise is gone but some loose remains.

Now , what is that thing called? Second , where to buy this? My local dealer wants 160$ CDN for it. and it comes with the whole BAR.... You cant have the tie rod alone.

Is there anyone who fixed this with a cheaper alternative? I mean that joint dont even move ...

The dealer is the only place to get it, and unfortunately it comes as an assembly.

I just replaced mine. its called a toe link. idk what you mean about it being loose? I have never heard of it messing up wheel bearings but it does cause bad vibration that is very dangerous. the vibration could cause the bearing wear. but they are made to be slightly loose by the hub, the part by the rear dif should be tight. idk if this helps but unless you don't have any violent vibrations after your wheel bearing was fixed then I wouldn't worry. the wheel bearings on these explorers don't last like they should

in my case I got one from the junk yard. cuz I bent mine then just swapped the ends (ball joint and such and re installed it. junk yard 10 bucks!! dealer 139+change
