Looks like the Map sensor connector. Some 1991's have a MAP sensor. If it does, its on the firewall right near the coil pack. If not, you will see a cover plate where it could go.
On DannyBoy's 1991, he had the same connector. On the spare 1991 wire harness I have sitting here, it has that connector but it has a MAP sensor on it..
the MAP is right next to the a/c box and it has a hose that runs to the throttle body right? why would it be gone, don't I need it for the truck to run well?
and can I take the one out of the 2.9 and stick it in the 4.0?
If your computer is one that is setup for MAP, then you need the MAP sensor, not all 91's actually use the MAP sensor. I've seen at least 1 so far that had the wiring for it, but didn't have the MAP sensor itself.
Did I understand you correctly that you do have a MAP sensor on the firewall and that it does already have an electrical plug on it along with a vacuum line?
