Well i just brought the exploder back after sitting for about 2 years. (it was ran, etc on and off in that time, so it's not toast)
But boy do I have a lot of work to do. I've had this truck like 12 years, and i've done just about every type of off road in it, (save for rock climbing) I love the jeep trails.
For the most part it's bone stock, 4.0L engine with 108k miles. It's never let me down except that time the radiator blew up. Never did understand that, went out to start it up one morning and the rad was busted.
Anyways, I plan to get her back in shape, which really won't take much, and get her lifted (4-6inch) and put some 31-33 inch tires on her. Not really going for the "serious" offroad truck, just something that will get though the high water we get here in Houston every year and a little extra clearance on the trails.
I've had plans to put a 302 from a fox body in it since i bought it, and I promised I wouldn't do it until the 4.0L engine dies. Well that was when she had 30k miles on it and damn if she ain't running as good as the day we bought her. Lifters have a slight tap, but it hasn't changed in 60k miles lol if it gets bad some day, I'll also have my head guy fix me up some hot heads for her. But you know it's funny, She just won't break so I can go nuts with some mods. heheh
Anyways, just saying hi, a little history and just looking to make some friends. I'm an old Fox body (5.0) Mustang guy I know them inside and out. I've owned about 8 of them and built from the tires up 4 of them. If ya have any questions about Fox body (1988-1993) Mustangs, i'm your guy.
