For some reason, I decided to buy not one, but two, B2's. One is an '84 with a 4.0 engine from an exploder, the other an '89 with a 2.9. I'd liked to flip flop engines, and thought I'd join here for advice, ideas, etc. Want some dumb questions and ideas? I'm sure I'll be coming up with a lot of brow rising, head shrinking ones. I am mechanically, but not electronicaly inclined, and have a somewhat warped sense of humour, but I'll try to be a good little member, I promise, well, maybe a little at least. LOL
Stand by for my ineptnitude to start showing. Thanks for the foroum, so far I like what see.:notworthy

Don't talk to Anderson, he's forgotten more about BII's than most folks know... Meaning he's now useless for anything BII related... He is however very handy with weed wackers and Infinitis...

yeah I'm retarded haha. the biggest thing with wiring the 4.0 in is just power to the power distribution box and ignition, if you can wire it up to turn over and have power to the distribution box it will start, on an 89 that is all you should have to wire in, all the other wiring will stay intact.

Welcome and Looking Forward To Seeing The Builds !

thanks for the welcome all. Sounds like anderson already gave me some advice I needed. As it is, I have a mechanic doing the swap for me, he's the same one that dropped the 4.0 into the '84, so I tihink/hope he knows what he's doing. After working 6 days at 14 hours a day doing the heavy haul thing, I'm just plain shot, once I get home. It's one of those cases of having more money than time, sometimes it's the other way around as well. I will take photo's as I get a few minutes.
