I have a concern with my car because of my tires. First of all, i have a 93 explorer w/ a 4inch suspension lift w/ 3 month year old 32inch MT's. A month ago I got my flat repaired and my tires rotated at 4wheelparts. When i got my car back, there was a little shake or "wobble" when i'd go past 65mph or higher. It is a consistent on and off wobble. But recently it has gotten worse. It shakes the whole body of the car. If you tried to sleep in my car, you wouldnt be able to. So I got my tires balanced. Same result. Had someone check the engine and some other parts. Nothing was wrong. So i supposed the tires could be the main problem. I was wondering would should i do??

Which 4wp store did you go to? I won't go to any of them in San Diego as they well lets just say have a lot to be desired. I might buy parts from them but they won't touch my truck. It sounds like your tires are still out of balance to me. Try ORD!

i went to 4 Wheel Parts in San Marcos.

maybe one of your tires is defected, i know sometimes tires are bad which can cause a vibration,

they call it Excessive Road Force, when a tire is oblong or out of round, balancing does not cure this, you simply need to replace the tire

or you could have a bent rim,

or you have worn suspension parts

another quick thing

some tire places have a maching that they can fun the tire and rim on to test it for road force, you have to pay a little extra, but it might be worth it

Very true, I just had it done to mine. It cost 40 bucks and it took my shake almost completely away. They also told me my one tire was defective b/c it balanced out to 44lb (whatever that means) so i took it back to where i got the tires and they replaced it with a new one. Now im completely shake free. I would recommend this to anyone who thinks there shaking/vibration is from the tires. Ive been fighting this problem for months now and now its finally fixed. I was so excited i was going to start a thread on road force balancing. DAMN SEARCH FEATURE!!! :D
