Wheel Spacers

I have a question about wheel spacers. I found some at www.cruisers-truck.com. the ones I'm looking at put your wheels out 1/4 of an inch than stock. They are about $3.48 each. (Not on their website, but their catalog.) I was wondering, are still able to go some off-road with these?) I don't really go real off-roading. I have a 2wd. But If I get stuck in a mess, I know the capabilities of an explorer, (it's why I bought it) I can get out. I'm just wondering how this will affect anything on my car, or if it does nothing at all. Thanks.

I went by Cruisers yesterday to look at some items and asked them your question. The salesman that I spoke to 'Did not recommend this item' on any vehicle that did any serious amount of Off-Roading. He stated that you would probably be asking for trouble by moving your vehicles stress point further away from the axle. I don't really know if this answered your questions but this was all that he could tell me.
