2005 Ford Sport Trac
Recently got a 2005 Sport Trac Adrenilin, noticed there are no liners, splash guards - whatever they are called - inside the front wheel wells. Looks easy for water/snow/dirt to get into engine compartment. Should there be any?? Saw somewhere else, I think, something about Ford deleting them because of engine compartment overheat in extreme heat conditions. New to the site - thanks in advance.

I don't remember which thread it's in, but we just had a discussion on this a few weeks ago. I think the consensus was the 2001s had them, but they quit using them in '02. You'd think water would get into the engine compartment, but I drove my '74 Ranchero without them for years. It has a larger opening than the Sport Trac, but I didn't notice much extra water/slop getting through there. It had polished aluminum valve covers so it would have been noticeable.

Thanks, that install link has the Ford part numbers, I'll check a few dealers. Just the kind of info I was looking for, although, still not sure if the 2005 came from the factory with the full skirts installed. Too much snow around here, I think I should go with them regardless ...

Ya thanks, $8.15 a piece. Gonna put an order together along with a few other things... I like what I see price wise, as long as shipping isn't too bad
